Federal Correctional Institution Jesup is a medium-security federal prison in Jesup, Georgia. It opened in 1990 and houses male inmates. Federal Satellite Low Jesup and Federal Correctional Institution Jesup Camp are adjacent to the primary institution.

FSL Jesup opened in 2003, and FCI Jesup Camp opened in 1989.

  • Computer hacker Christopher Chainey: sentenced to 10 years for gaining unauthorized access to protected computers by breaking into the personal online accounts of Scarlett Johansson and Christina Aguilera and posting revealing photos of them online.
  • Former Pennsylvania State Senator Robert J. Mellow: housed at the camp.
  • Televangelist Jim Bakker: also housed at the camp.

Media reports indicate that three Jesup GA prisoners have been indicted for filing fraudulent tax returns.

In August 2013, former Pennsylvania State Senator Robert J. Mellow was moved from the minimum-security camp at FCI Williamsburg to the medium-security Federal Correctional Institution Jesup after new state charges were filed against him.

In August 2003, Michael Little, Gary Barnes, and Ricky Davis, prisoners at FCI Jesup, along with Davis’ wife Angie, were indicted for filing $2.4 million in fraudulent income tax returns.

In 1993, televangelist Jim Bakker was transferred from Federal Medical Center Rochester, where he spent about three years, to Federal Correctional Institution Jesup Camp.
