Housing Configuration:
Inmates at FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp are primarily housed in a dorm
setting, which are divided into two-man pods.

Health Services: The goal of
the FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp’s Health Services Department is to
provide medical care which is consistent with the community standards of
care.  The Primary Care Provider Team
(PCPT) model is designed to function in the same manner as a doctor’s office
within the community setting, consisting of clinical staff such as Physicians,
Physician’s Assistants, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants, as well as
support staff such as Medical Records Technicians and other support staff.  Inmates may sign up for sick call appointments
in the morning between the hours of 6:30 AM and 6:45 AM on Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday, and Friday.

Pill Line: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison camp conducts pill line from 6:30-7:00 AM and
3:00-3:30 PM daily, irrespective of federal holidays and weekends.

Dental Services: Inmates at
FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp have access to emergency and routine dental
care.  In order to be seen by dental
personnel, inmates can either submit a sick call on Tuesday or can submit a
cop-out any day of the week.  This is
true for both regular dental care and teeth cleanings.

Psychology Services: The
Psychology Services Department of FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp offers a
number of services to the inmate population.
These include various drug abuse and substance abuse programs and other
groups which assist inmates with other psychological ailments (e.g., anger
management, stress management, etc.).

Residential Drug Abuse Program
(RDAP):
FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp houses a Residential Drug Abuse
Program (RDAP).  This RDAP location
houses 105 beds.

Religious Services: The
Religious Services Department of FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp provides
counseling, pastoral care, and a variety of religious programs to assist in
spiritual formation.  There are regularly
scheduled guest speakers, studies, services, high holy days, and special
programs.  In addition to these services,
pastoral staff members also notify inmates in the event there is a death or
hospitalization of one of their immediate family members.

Education Services: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp offers GED classes, Adult Continuing Education
(ACE) classes, parenting classes, and English-as-a-Second Language (ESL)
classes.  Interested inmates, who have
the applicable funding, are allowed to enroll in college correspondence
courses.  An inter-library loan program
is available through the FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp Education
Department.

Advanced Occupational Education:
FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp does not offer any advanced occupational
education programs.

Vocational Training: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp offers Computer and Small Engine Repair
vocational training programs.  Both
programs are accredited by the Raleigh County Board of Education, require
students to possess a GED or high school diploma prior to enrolling, and award
a certificate from the Raleigh County Board of Education upon program
completion.  The Computer vocational
training program lasts 4 months, while the Small Engine Repair vocational
training program lasts 3 months.

Apprenticeship: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp does not offer any apprenticeship programs.

Library Services: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp houses a leisure library which contains fiction
and non-fiction books, magazines, and newspapers for the prison population’s
usage.

Law Library Services:
Inmates at FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp have access to the TRULINCS
Electronic Law Library (ELL) service.
This service allows inmates to research Federal Bureau of Prisons’
policy, case law, court rules, and other components of a traditional law
library.  A copy machine is also
available in the Education Department for legal usage.

UNICOR: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp does not house a UNICOR facility.

Commissary: Inmates at FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp are allowed to shop in the institution’s
commissary once a week.  Specific
shopping days are posted in housing units.
Inmates are allowed to spend up to $320 per month on food, cosmetics,
clothing, shoes, and electronics.  Copy
cards, postage stamps, and select over-the-counter medications do not count
against the spending limit.

Recreation Services: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp offers a number of indoor and outdoor recreation
activities.  Indoor they offer hobby
craft projects (ceramics, leather, painting, and drawing), billiards, board
games, table tennis, and writing contests.
Outdoor they offer various league sports (softball, flag football,
basketball, soccer, and volleyball), various classes (NFPT, Yoga, calisthenics,
aerobics, and pre-release wellness), and a recreation yard.  The Recreation Department also broadcasts
music on the following frequencies: 104.1 (Rock); 99.1 (Rap); 90.1 (Spanish);
and 87.7 (R&B).

Visitation Information: FCI
Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp allows inmates to receive visits from 8:15 AM to 3:15
PM on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and all federal holidays.  Visitors will not be processed into the Camp
Visiting Room after 1:30 PM.  Only
approved visitors, who present valid photo identification, will be allowed into
the institution.

Inmates at FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp will be allowed a maximum
of five visitors at any one time (this includes children).  Exceptions will be requested through the Unit
Manager.  Split visiting can be used at
the discretion of the Visiting Room Officer-in-Charge (OIC).  A split visit is defined as a visit when an
inmate has five visitors in the Visiting Room and one or more visitors leave
the Visiting Room and are replaced by the same, or fewer, authorized visitors.  On split visits, only one exchange of
visitors for that inmate will normally be allowed.

Lewisburg on Interstate 64 West, take Exit 125 B (Airport Road).  Make a right onto Industrial Park Road and
follow the signs to FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp.

From Charleston on Interstate 77 South, take Interstate 64 East to Exit
125 B (Airport Road).  Make a right onto
Industrial Park Road and follow the signs to FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp.

From Bluefield, take Interstate 77 North to Interstate 64 East.  Follow Interstate 64 East to Exit 125 B
(Airport Road) and make a right onto Industrial Park Road.  The institution can be found by following the
signs to FCI Beckley-Satellite Prison Camp.
